Broadfield Distributing, Inc. (Booth #613)

At NAB Show New York, Broadfield Distributing will host its Partner Pavilion in-booth, featuring products from more than 20 vendors, all interconnected to demonstrate AV-over-IP workflows, LED display solutions, and more. Broadfield will have one of the first U.S. demos of Grass Valley Avora, the new live production platform launched at IBC, along with many other solutions. Broadfield will also showcase Panasonic Kairos' in-venue display capabilities with an Absen LED video wall, Live Anywhere Production bundles from Panasonic and LiveU, and the new PTZOptics Rise PTZ camera. You could spend a good chunk of your day at the Broadfield booth (and you just might), but there are other booths to check out. Let's go!

LiveU (Broadfield Booth #613 and Varto Booth #1425)

LiveU has quietly earned a stellar reputation as a super-reliable production partner, reshaping how crews deliver live video around the world for news, public agencies, and sporting events of all sizes. At NAB Show New York, you can find LiveU in two places: the Broadfield booth and the Varto booth. LiveU continues to push the technology forward and will be showing the LU900Q with LiveU IQ, an AI-driven, intelligent connectivity solution for IP video broadcasting that dynamically switches eSIMs between mobile network operators to ensure optimal live transmission performance.

Using AI, LiveU IQ continuously analyzes real-time and historical network data from a global data depot to predict congestion and select the best-performing cellular networks. With dynamic eSIM switching, universal eSIMs move seamlessly from weaker to stronger carrier networks mid-broadcast without interrupting the video stream. The core integration complements LiveU Reliable Transport (LRT) bonding technology to provide resilience in challenging environments like crowded stadiums and rural dead zones.

PTZOptics

At NAB Show New York, PTZOptics will show its breakthrough Rise 4K PTZ camera. Rise brings broadcast-grade imaging, professional connectivity, and intelligent camera control together in an entirely new PTZOptics platform. Its large 1-inch sensor captures exceptional detail and color in 4K at 60 fps, while 20x optical zoom and phase-detection autofocus deliver precise, reliable coverage across studios and large production environments. With 12G-SDI, NDI®, genlock, timecode, and Horizon control included as standard, Rise integrates seamlessly into modern broadcast and IP production workflows. It's designed for broadcasters, sports productions, live events, studios, and organizations ready to elevate their video quality and production capabilities.

Key features:

  • 1-inch, 50MP sensor with video resolution up to 4K at 60 fps
  • 20x optical zoom with fast phase-detection autofocus
  • 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HDMI, and native NDI® connectivity
  • Genlock, timecode, and Horizon Web UI control included as standard

AJA Video Systems (Booth #626)

Very few companies in our collective workspace consistently refine live and post-production workflows like AJA. I'm constantly amazed at how good they are at delivering creative solutions that save both time and money for professionals across a huge spectrum of productions. In my opinion, they just "get it." When I get to the AJA booth, I want to see and hear everything AJA is up to, including the upcoming FS8 Hybrid SDI/IP Media Processor. After reviewing the specifications, I'm convinced the only thing the FS8 can't do is make you a sandwich.

The FS8 is a powerhouse multi-channel frame synchronizer and converter engineered to prepare SDI and SMPTE ST 2110 signals for production. It combines frame synchronization; up/down/cross-conversion; frame rate conversion; HDR/WCG processing; 3D LUT-based and live color management; audio processing; delay management; metadata handling; and SDI-to/from-IP gateway functionality, all in a single 1RU device. It's designed for cine-live productions, broadcast, production trucks, flypacks, live venues, studios, and remote production environments where every downstream device must receive a predictable, standards-compliant signal, ensuring interoperability in even the most complex workflows.

The FS8 also features eight independent channels of HD video processing, or up to four channels of UHD processing, in an all-new, easy-to-operate visual node pipeline within a rich web interface. Audio connectivity expands beyond embedded SDI and MADI with the addition of Dante and ST 2110-30, building a massive 459x448 mono audio matrix. The FS8 also offers full input and output signal routing, so any I/O port can be assigned to any processing channel. There are even more features than we have space for here, so stop by and see and hear it for yourself.

Fujifilm (Booth #649)

Make plans to stop by the Fujifilm booth to get hands-on with the FUJIFILM GFX ETERNA 55 filmmaking camera and see the DUVO series lenses, the FUJINON UA22x4.8BERD portable 4K 2/3-inch broadcast zoom, and the FUJINON LA30x7.8BRM portable, lightweight broadcast zoom. Beyond those, there are a few other cameras worth a look. Why, you ask? Simple. As you know, there are a lot of exceptional camera and lens manufacturers in our space. A lot. But if I were in the market right now, I'd want to look at all my options, and Fujifilm has plenty depending on your budget and what you're trying to do. If I were you, these are a few of the models I'd take a good look at:

Fujifilm X-S20: A compact hybrid/vlogging option. It records 6.2K/30p and 4K/60p in 10-bit 4:2:2 and has IBIS, a fully articulating screen, and a dedicated Vlog mode.

Fujifilm X-H2S: The more video-oriented X Series choice. It offers 6.2K/30p, 4K/120p, 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording, ProRes HQ, and a stacked sensor designed for high-speed shooting.

Fujifilm GFX100 II: A high-end medium-format option. It has a 102MP large-format sensor, 8K/30p 10-bit 4:2:2, 4K/60p, ProRes recording, and up to 8 stops of IBIS.
