AJA Wins Award of Excellence for DANTE-12GAM Embedder/Disembedder at NAB 2025
An interview from the 2025 NAB Show in Las Vegas with Abe Apt at the AJA Video Systems Booth. Since 1993, AJA Video Systems has been a leading manufacturer of cutting-edge technology for the broadcast, cinema, proAV, and post production markets.
At NAB 2025, AJA announced the OG-DANTE-12GAM, an openGear, Dante audio embedder/disembedder, with dual 12G-SDI input and output ports providing up to 32-channels of audio embedding and 32-channels of disembedding simultaneously. OG-DANTE-12GAM provides the bridge between SDI and Dante infrastructures.
Dante audio networking provides digital audio distribution over local and wide-area networks with low latency, using standard network hardware or by connecting into a standard network infrastructure. This offers many advantages over analog, AES, and MADI infrastructures, including audio system scalability, easier installation, and simplified wiring.
A fully populated OG-X-FR openGear frame with ten OG-DANTE-12GAM cards provides an incredible 640-channels of audio bridging in a rack-mountable form factor for a wide range of needs.
Also at NAB, AJA unveiled BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8, a new addition to its production-proven family of streaming and IP video solutions. Featuring eight bi-directional 3G-SDI connectors in a 1RU form factor, BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8 doubles the 3G-SDI I/O capabilities of AJA’s BRIDGE LIVE. With an expanded channel count to provide video professionals with enhanced flexibility, the new solution decreases per channel costs for customers, while providing reliable encoding, decoding, and transcoding for critical live video environments.
Extensive support for industry-standard codecs and formats like H.264, H.265, NDI, SRT, and HLS ensures the device can support nearly any encoding/decoding/transcoding need that arises. BRIDGE LIVE 3G-8 answers a broad range of live event production, remote workflow, multi-camera podcast, web-based programming, security and surveillance, and over-the-top (OTT) content delivery needs. Educational organizations and corporations with live stream workflows can also benefit from the device, while its synchronous multi-channel/multi-system transport streaming enables more efficient live sports and news broadcasts.
Also showcased was the all-new KUMO 6464-12G, a high capacity 12G-SDI router that features 64x 12G-SDI inputs and 64x 12G-SDI outputs for high bandwidth, cost-effective signal routing. Targeted for a range of broadcast, production, post, and proAV environments, KUMO 6464-12G offers powerful scalability, workflow security, and increased bandwidth via 12G-SDI.
