At NAB 2024, Blackmagic Design introduced the Audio Monitor 12G G3, a powerful audio monitor that has amazing sound quality in a tiny 1RU size. That means it can be installed anywhere. The design is dominated by a large audio meter with accurate ballistics that can be changed between various audio metering standards. There's a 12G-SDI input for monitoring audio from professional video equipment. Plus the new model includes a 10G Ethernet SMPTE-2110 IP video input so customers can connect to IP broadcast systems without an external converter. It also includes traditional balanced analog XLR, HiFi and AES/EBU audio inputs too. There's even an HDMI video output so customers can monitor using large screen TV's or computer monitors.

Designed from aluminum machined metal, Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G is extremely strong yet also lightweight. The chassis is finished in deep black and anodized so it matches other equipment. Plus the all metal design eliminates acoustic vibration even at loud volumes. The front panel has buttons to solo each left or right channel, select between 12G-SDI, 2110 IP, AES/EBU, Analog or HiFi audio and to mute the speakers. There's a convenient headphone socket right on the front panel.

SmartView 4K G3 features built in optical and copper SMPTE-2110 IP video connections so customers can connect directly to IP based broadcast systems. Customers also get two 12G-SDI inputs for connecting to a wide range of professional video equipment. Plus both the 12G-SDI and 2110 video inputs can output to a 12G-SDI loop output connection.

SmartView 4K features an incredibly strong machined aluminum metal design with crisp clean lines. Plus SmartView 4K is only a few inches deep. Because monitors are often installed at the top of equipment racks, this thin design allows a large area behind the monitor to better ventilate the whole rack and keep all the equipment cool. Along the bottom of the SmartView 4K is a range of button controls that are tilted slightly so they're easier to press. On the rear of the monitor are all the video connections, plus there's even a VESA mounting point.

Blackmagic Design also announced a wide range of SMPTE-2110 IP video products, including converters, video monitors, audio monitors and even cameras. Plus they support Ultra HD using low cost 10G Ethernet. Most converter models are bidirectional, so they're fantastic to use on cameras when customers need an extra program return. The rack mount models have an elegant design with a color LCD for monitoring, menus and diagnostics. All models conform to the SMPTE ST-2110 standard for IP video, including PTP clocks and even NMOS support so customers can make connections using a video router panel.

The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converters have been designed to integrate SDI equipment into 2110 IP broadcast systems. The rack mount models can be installed in equipment racks right next to the equipment users are converting. Adding converters means customers get a low cost way to transform all their video equipment to SMPTE-2110.
