An interview from the 2024 NAB Show in Las Vegas with Robert Ramos at the Marshall Electronics Booth. For over 40 years, Marshall has been a trusted provider of high-quality and reliable video, audio and multimedia systems for broadcast, pro A/V, pro audio, UCC and OEM applications worldwide. Marshall is dedicated to supplying hi-tech markets with innovative cameras, format converters, monitors, switchers and production equipment at great value without sacrificing quality or reliability.

At NAB 2024, Marshall Electronics showcased its newest auto-tracking camera, the CV612-TBI/TWI PTZ camera. The Marshall CV612, available in black (CV612-TBI) and white models (CV612-TWI), features the ability to automatically track, follow and frame presenters using AI facial learning for accurate and smooth self-adjusting maneuvers.

Equipped with 12X optical and a 15X digital zoom, the CV612 offers a 4.1mm-49.2mm (6.6-70.3 degrees) field of view. It is built around a professional-grade 2-Megapixel 1/2.8-inch, high-quality HD CMOS sensor, which provides format resolutions from 1920x1080, 1280x720 down to 640x480, making this the ideal solution for production and live streaming.

The CV612 has a flexible networkable IP interface with simultaneous 3GSDI, HDMI and USB 3.0 Type C outputs for ease of connection for various applications. One Ethernet (CAT) cable installation with PoE+ simplifies setup and operation. Control interface includes RS232, Visca/Pelco protocols as well as LAN control. Also included is a handheld IR remote control. The PTZ features a pan rotation of 170 degrees, tilt rotation of -90-+90 degrees, and variable pan and tilt and preset speeds.

The Marshall VMV-402-3GSH can be used in remote news vehicles, edit rooms, AV boardrooms, lecture halls and even as an input expander for existing production switches.  Simple command structure allows easy integration with Crestron and other control surfaces and automation systems via Ethernet or RS232.  The switcher accepts four 3GSDI sources.  Inputs 1 and 2 also accept HDMI.

Switching fast and glitch-free, it accepts all common input formats/frame rates and converts to a single output format.  Program out is available simultaneously as SDI and HDMI.  A second HDMI output provides a full-time quad view.  It is easily set up using convenient on-screen menus or a web GUI, without the need for special apps or cables.  The unit is 1RU high and full rack width.

The VS-PTC-300 can control multiple cameras via serial and IP interfaces simultaneously and allows easy NDI/IP set-up utilizing the NDI/IP discovery. The use of different connection and control methods can be beneficial when migrating to larger set-ups while keeping legacy products in the same system..

The VS-PTC-300 is designed to operate seamlessly across multiple camera protocols and connection types. Used in broadcast, live event production, content creation and house of worship, the VSPTC-300 offers detailed operation through a high-quality PTZ joystick, zoom rocker and individual fine-tune adjustment knobs. Settings include iris, white balance, exposure, red/blue balance, shutter speed, focus, pan/tilt speed and zoom speed.

The VS-PTC-300 can store up to 256 camera presets, which include image setting parameters. ?Dedicated knobs and control buttons simplify direct access to frequently used functions without needing to use on-camera menus. The VS-PTC-300’s joystick allows “one hand” PTZ/Focus or a convenient rocker for Zoom. Its solid construction ensures that the controller will not slide while operating the joystick.
