Create 3D Shots Live with an Emerging Tool That Helps Anyone Make Big, Original Stories; Real-Time, Browser and Mobile Workflow Connects Teams Across the Globe

At NAB 2026, Lightcraft Technology will preview Spark Story, a rapid virtual shot system designed to help filmmakers start workshopping their story on day one with their team. In booth N3148, attendees will be able to make live shots of their own, moving seamlessly from the browser to its mobile virtual production app using scanned and prompted environments to set the scene.

Spark Story lets anyone start visualizing their story in 3D right away, turning what used to be impossible into a new epicenter of modern filmmaking. Spark Story builds scenes around realistic digital environments, physically correct motion and actual camera/lens models, so directors, DPs and more can trust that early decisions will still hold on shoot days.

Spark Story’s deep integration between its browser and mobile apps allows global teams to finally work together live, using scripts, Gaussians Splats, imported USD assets, camera motion and more to create the fastest interactive previs yet.

“For the first time in history, every team can see their story before they step on set, regardless of budget, size or experience,” said Eliot Mack, CEO and founder of Lightcraft Technology. “The days of waiting until post to figure out if the story is working are over. With Spark Story, a team can go from 0 to 80% and be ready for pitching and planning almost immediately. Then they can pull people in, build momentum and radically accelerate the shooting process.”

Spark Story is the first piece of a comprehensive Spark platform that is still in development. NAB attendees can get a first look at some key features:

*Real-Time 3D Shot Construction — See how filmmakers can build scenes together in a browser using scanned, prompted and traditional 3D environments, and then link shots to their script.

*Dynamic Screenplay Editing — Explore a real-time script editing and breakdown tool that will let people work collaboratively, and turn partial ideas into a full screenplay.

*Instant Virtual Production — Explore scenes, review progress and capture camera shots from anywhere in the world, with an integrated iOS app that makes virtual production push-button simple.

*Integrated Shot List — Cameras placed in a 3D scene automatically generate shot list entries linked to the script, settings, and framing of a shot, helping crews build essential libraries to guide both traditional and virtual productions.

To see Spark Story live, join Lightcraft Technology in booth N3148 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, April 19-22. Sign up here to be notified when the Spark beta program begins.

About Lightcraft Technology
Co-founded by Emmy-winning inventor Eliot Mack and Chairman Bill Warner (founder of Avid Technology), Lightcraft Technology helps filmmakers break through the barriers that prevent great movies and series from being made. By unifying AI, 3D and traditional filmmaking, Lightcraft is remaking the production process from start to finish, so more people can realize their vision, with or without a studio. Once Spark launches, it will unlock an end-to-end production system that not only changes how movies are made, but makes the whole process more intuitive, inclusive and fun.
