Avid® today announced it will showcase new innovations designed to help media companies win in the new media economy at NAB Show 2026 (April 18–22, Las Vegas Convention Center). At Booth N2226, Avid will demonstrate how its end-to-end production platform enables news organizations, media production companies, studios and broadcasters to create and manage content more efficiently while unlocking greater value from media assets through intelligent, connected workflows – helping organizations modernize without operational risk or disruption. As the only platform purpose-built to unify the entire media lifecycle, Avid uniquely connects workflows, data, and teams with AI-driven capabilities to enable smarter automation and greater speed and agility.

As media companies navigate profound change, with production models evolving and revenue streams shifting, they are under increasing pressure to transform operations while producing more stories, faster – often with fewer resources. At NAB Show 2026, Avid will demonstrate how its deep media expertise, leading-edge technology and deployment of real world AI capabilities, are helping organizations unify their entire media workflows, connecting teams, data and content.

“The industry needs a better way to work, and it needs vendors that understand the economics of next generation media architectures,” said Wellford Dillard, Chief Executive Officer at Avid. “That is why we built Content Core – to combine the industry’s most trusted creative tools with intelligent, AI-enhanced workflows to break down silos and enable media organizations to collaborate seamlessly and operate more efficiently. In addition to delivering an extraordinarily high ROI, Content Core was built to help Avid’s customers modernize without disruption and transform without unnecessary complexity."

Avid Content Core is now commercially available and at the center of Avid’s NAB presence. The award-winning content data platform is the industry’s first true cloud-native production solution, unifying asset identity, ingest, storage, metadata, orchestration, and rights information into a single intelligent layer – eliminating fragmentation across tools, teams, and processes. By connecting these critical elements, Content Core supports hybrid environments spanning on-premises and cloud infrastructure, helping teams work faster across postproduction and news while improving how content is discovered, managed, and reused.

Building on the momentum from its launch at IBC2025, Avid will showcase new innovations that extend Avid Content Core’s capabilities, including AI-driven intelligence, agentic workflows, and automation that helps organizations not only manage content, but actively understand, orchestrate, and monetize it.

“It is exciting to come to NAB Show 2026 with Avid Content Core ready for market and available to give media organizations a cloud-native foundation for modern media operations,” said Kenna Hilburn, Chief Product Officer at Avid. “It brings postproduction and news teams together in a flexible, hybrid ecosystem without forcing them to rip and replace what already works – building toward a future where Content Core becomes the intelligence layer of the entire media enterprise.”

New innovations and technology previews across Avid solutions

Across its booth, Avid will demonstrate new and updated capabilities designed to help media organizations modernize workflows, scale production, and collaborate more effectively, including:

Next-generation postproduction workflows – Demonstrations featuring Media Composer, Pro Tools, and Avid NEXIS will highlight new approaches to editorial collaboration for increasingly complex productions, enabling teams to work across distributed environments and scale up without slowing down. Technology previews will showcase AI‑powered media discovery, logging, metadata, and clip generation, alongside enhancements to the core editorial experience that expand collaborative workflows. Built on Avid Content Core, these innovations support more open, flexible collaboration, with reliable asset tracking across formats and locations, instant relinking between resolutions, and a new parallel processing engine so editors can deliver on time and stay focused on creative work.

Advancing multi-platform news production – Demos of new storytelling capabilities across MediaCentral, iNEWS, and Wolftech News will showcase how editorial planning, story development, and publishing on both linear and digital platforms are unified through connected workflows, enabled by deeper integration through Avid Content Core. Demonstrations will also highlight new Stream I/O sub-clipping capabilities to help journalists quickly create and repurpose stories for broadcast, digital, and social platforms. These enhanced workflows enable a more story-centric approach, allowing news teams to shape and deliver their content seamlessly across fast-moving, multi-platform environments.

Expanding cloud-enabled media workflows – Avid will showcase how organizations can run production seamlessly across hybrid and cloud environments – without compromising performance, security, or creative flexibility. Rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all cloud migration, Avid enables customers to move at their own pace, connecting existing infrastructure with modern, cloud-native capabilities through Avid Content Core. The company will also unveil new cloud partnerships, along with innovations that expand deployment flexibility and interoperability across modern production infrastructures.

Avid will also preview the latest integrations and innovations from its partner network, including AI-powered Media Composer Extensions with Quickture, Flawless, Acclaim Audio and more, as well as integrations with Fraunhofer and CuttingRoom – demonstrating how third-party technologies are enriching and extending Avid workflows.
