Densitron to Partner with IPE Technologies and support its Leading UK and European Broadcast Software in US
Hardware and software experts team up in a match made for the studio

(NAB, Las Vegas, 7th – 12th April 2018) US broadcasters will now have direct access to IDS, a complete workflow solution from one of the UK’s leading broadcast providers following a new partnership announced ahead of this year’s NAB show. Densitron (Stand C9032), a creator of display technology and global leader in display, monitor and embedded computing solutions, is now a key technology partner for IPE Technologies, supplier to the UK broadcasters BBC, ITV and Sky UK as well as the European operations of CNN, YouTube, Discovery and Bloomberg.

The partnership will focus around IPE’s expertise in software ‘control’ and Densitron’s 1U / 2U space-saving rack family of displays and bar/cut monitors. Each company brings over 40 years of experience in their relevant sector to the table, and by joining together will enable unique products to be available for US broadcasters, meeting the increasing challenges found in studio environments.

To mark the announcement, IDS will be driving monitors and displays on the Densitron stand at NAB and representatives from IPE will be available to discuss their solutions with interested stand visitors. Densitron will fully support IDS, providing first level response and in-depth technical back-up on behalf of IPE Technologies in the US, ensuring US customers have the local support and presence required.

“This new partnership opens up significant potential for both our companies”, says Chris Goodhall, Global Business Development Director – Broadcast for Densitron. Densitron’s ongoing commitment to the broadcast industry is bringing fresh ideas and quality to the market and we believe the combined experience and knowledge of the two companies presents a formidable and compelling proposition.”

“Through our partnership, we’re able to utilise Densitron’s market expertise to launch our software across America while strengthening its broadcast offering,” adds Reuben Such, IPE Technologies head of sales and support. “We believe there are many cultural similarities between our organisations – namely a dedication to quality, innovation and progress.

“We feel Densitron’s bar/cut monitors are a good fit for us, allowing us to slightly adapt and tailor a specific product, making it even more relevant to the US market. They are a great option for above studio door and enable much real estate on the one screen.

“We’re looking forward to attending NAB with Densitron. Not only will this further cement our partnership but also take our combined solutions to new customers across the country.”

About IPE:
IPE was established in 1982, initially as a system integrator primarily involved in the audio world. The company was extremely well known and highly regarded for designing and building radio facilities, be they studios, galleries or full facilities.

However, in 2007, in the course of in-house R&D, IPE found that it could create and develop a more elegant solution to the standard, cumbersome and expensive broadcast clocks and tally units that had been seen in broadcast facilities for decades. From that, IPE’s Information Display System (IDS) was born, a scalable, network-based display and control system designed specifically for the broadcast industry. More information can be found at
