Atomos Discusses HDR 4Kp60 & Defines NAB 2017 as "Disneyland for Filmmakers"

General Manager, Atomos, Tony Trent, answers a few questions about what to expect from Atomos at this year's NAB 2017 Show and his perspective on growing trends in the industry.

Q What new products/services has your company introduced since last year's’ NAB?

A We’ve launched the Shogun Inferno and just recently the Ninja Inferno to bring HDR 4Kp60 monitoring and recording to the filmmaking mass community.

Q Of all the other companies in attendance, which booths are you most excited to visit?

A The Japanese camera companies combine innovation with quality which is why we love partnering with them. Expecting to see loads of 4Kp60 products announced this year with HDR output that will perfectly snap with the Atomos line-up.

Q Finish this sentence: 2017 will be the production industry’s year of _____

A HDR 4Kp60

Q What motivating factor drives you to continue innovating year after year?

A We are driven to make great products people love – simple as that. Delivering cutting edge technology into the hands of our loyal users with simplicity and pricing they can’t believe is what drives the entire Atomos team.

Q How would you describe the energy coming into this years’ NAB show?

A It's Disneyland for Filmmakers… well at least we make sure the Atomos booth at NAB is, so the energy is always upbeat and positive.

Q One year from now, what new technologies do you think we’ll be discussing?

A Without a doubt – 4Kp60 HDR. Not only is it amazing to see, it’s cost effective and available now.

Q How do you expect NAB 2017 to differ from NAB 2016?

A The key trends are no longer “trends” – they are starting to happen with HDR being rolled out from camera makers through to content distributers like YouTube and Netflix.

Q Where can we find you on the show floor?

A “Atomos City” is in the Central Hall booth # 8925

Q Have you heard about the featured Attractions and Pavilions? Are you planning on stopping by any of their exhibits?

A No – too busy doing demos for the 4 days =)
